ELECTRO / MECHANICAL
TECHNICIAN
We are hiring an electro/mechanical technician to design and implement complex industrial, commercial, and domestic electrical systems. To do well in this role you should be a licensed professional engineer and have extensive experience as an electrical engineer.

What You’ll Do
-
Installs hardware to build subassemblies and systems.
a. Integrate component on Printed Circuit Boards.
b. Mounts power modules to heatsinks using specific screws and torque settings.
c. Connect cable subassemblies.
d. Implement protective isolation tape on certain components, as needed.
e. Apply thermal paste and Silicone to printed circuit board components as instructed. -
Assists with searching for and identifying long lead and obsolete parts.
a. Use online resources as instructed to search for parts.
b. Document parts found in Excel spreadsheet. -
Sort, count, and inventory parts. To included verifying quantity and recording serial numbers.
a. Update the appropriate documentation. -
Assist with moving/lifting heavy objects >50lbs (Occasionally).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, etc…

Ability to read CAD files, schematics, and/or diagrams, datasheets. (Preferred)

Experience in soldering PCB components and cables. Certifications such as IPC J-STD-001.

Ability to read electrical schematics and generate drawings, as required. (Preferred)

Experience with power electronics, including AC (including 3-phase), DC, Battery, and generator
power systems. (Preferred)

Assist with electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials. (Preferred)
a. Uses test equipment such as: digital mustimeter, oscilloscope, electronic loads, AC and
DC sources. -
Confirms system and components; capabilities using/developing test plans to conform
compliance to specifications. (Preferred) -
Assures product quality through electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system
capabilities.
a. Document test results and upload test reports as needed. -
Test and observe operation of products for conformance with operational standards.

Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Provides engineering information/support by answering questions and requests. (Preferred)

Keeps equipment operational by following manufactures instructions and established
procedures. (Preferred) -
Aids in maintaining product and component data bases.

Completes projects through training and guiding others as needed.

Helps to estimate labor, material, and equipment costs. Assists in preparing BOM (Bill of Material) at the system as well as the component level. (Preferred)

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as necessary.

Other tasks as assigned.

Need to be able to evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by conducting research, while applying knowledge of electricity and materials. (Preferred)
